Verses Condemning Following without Knowledge

In the previous section, we reviewed verses that all rebuked following of fathers and ancestors. In this section, we examine verses that forbid following without knowledge. Interestingly, in several cases, this prohibition of following without knowledge immediately follows the command to honor parents. It seems that God's message was: although you must respect your parents, do not follow them without knowledge and do not imitate them.
