The Qur'an Condemns Taqlid
Not only has the Qur'an never recommended taqlid in any verse, but it has also condemned, negated, and forbidden taqlid in various ways. Some verses address it explicitly, while others challenge the implications and dimensions of taqlid. For instance, while muqallids and marja's believe that the marja' will be answerable for the wrong actions of the muqallid, numerous verses deny such a concept. In what follows, we review these verses by category.
